In the book of Ecclesiastes, a descendant of David and Solomon, a royal figure, left a profound message: “Meaningless, meaningless, meaningless, all is meaningless.” This message resonated deeply with me during my own walk of humble beginnings. “Meaningless” was a word the enemy used consistently to try to define my life. But as a young praying warrior, connected to my Daddy, God, I learned to pray in the name of Jesus, and it gave me hope. Despite the meaningless things the world was showing me, I grew in grace.
I learned to change my words and believe in THE WORD, Jesus Christ. He is the Promise of God, and in Him, all is not meaningless. Step by step, I continued to grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, moving onward and upward. I am still standing on His promises today.
The Old Testament also confirms this message of hope. In Jeremiah 29:11, it is written, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse is a personal promise to me, Carolyn. My Lord has plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a great future.
So, I stand on the promises of my Father in Jesus’ name. I know that no matter what the world may say, no matter how meaningless things may seem, there is always hope. Jesus is the anchor of my soul, and in Him, I find my purpose and my strength.
May we all find the courage to change our words and believe in the Word, Jesus Christ. May we stand firm on the promises of our Father and move forward with hope and confidence. For in Him, all is meaningful, and all is possible.
Amen.
